School Is Out!!!! Finally!!!

Yeah, school is out. Yesterday was my last day, which is hard to imagine. Especially thinking I won't be back to work for 7 months!!!! I had both of my brothers come to school with me yesterday and help me move my stuff. I finally get my own room and won't have to float!!! I couldn't have done it without them moving my stuff. Two of our science dept teachers are moving so it was hard saying good bye to them. Thank goodness for e-mail and facebook. I'm glad to be of so I can focus on the house and getting everything ready.
It was also Abby's last day at Kindercare. It has been great and the teachers were awesome. Abby cried when I picked her up, but she will be OK. We let her take her camera so hopefully she has some good pics we can post.
This weekend has been crazy busy. Ben worked Saturday, Abby had a birthday part at Ijams Saturday, then had 2 friends spend the night and we took them to church. After that Matt's kids came over Sunday and we spent all day with them. On Monday mom came over and helped with the house and the Tuesday was the last day of school and was crazy busy. So unfortunately today I have been lazy and extremely tired. I have started cleaning out the linen closet, but I really just want to sleep or lay down. I probably will after awhile.
That's been our crazy weekend and start of week.
On a side note, I am 24 weeks and the babies have been busy too.

Abby's Dance Recital!!

School Is Out (almost)!!!

Well school is almost over. It is for the students but we have to go back Tuesday after Memorial Day. A lot happened last week. Abby became registered for Kindergarten and had her test and screening. She did well on her test, so they say and scored perfect on her speech (no surprise there) and hearing screening. The teachers said she is definitely ready for Kindergarten. She is so excited and was real excited to see her big school. I can't believe my baby is going to Kindergarten. Oh by the way, Abby told me she needed a cell phone for Kindergarten in case she became lost at school and needed to call me. Can you believe it?
The PHS Faculty threw me a surprise baby shower last Wednesday!! They are so awesome. I got a pack n play, diapers, onesies, pacifiers, blankets, burp cloths, and lots of gift cards!!! It was fantastic. I could not believe it. Like I told them, I am blessed to be a Powell Panther.
I found out that I get my own room next year so I won't have to float anymore!!! I'm so excited. Nick is going to come to school with me Tuesday to help me move everything since I can't.
Abby also had her dance recital last Wednesday. She was wonderful!! Some pics are on Flickr, but I'll see if I can post some on the blog.
Again, Lots going on but at least school is pretty much over then I can focus on the house and getting ready for 2 babies!!!!

22 weeks and another ultrasound later!!!

I had my 6th (I think) ultrasound last Wednesday. I am really addicted to seeing the boys. I am gaining a little weight, not too much or too little I guess. The boys weighed in at 510 grams and 489 grams (a little over 1 pound each - 1lb = 454 grams). They are real close in weight and still growing like singetons which is great news. They are probably over 7 inches from crown to rump with some long legs. I feel them a lot which is wonderful but at the same time I get anxious since I never know if I'm feeling both or one or what is going on. It is definitely different with 2 in there. Double the worry!!! I'm trying not to be too anxious and go with the flow like I normally do. Seems to be working so far. I am definitely going to take next fall off (the entire semester somehow). The doctor filled out the paperwork and I mailed it in. It will be difficult.
Abby got to see the babies also, she also said she hoped the doctor would find another one in there and it be a girl. The doctor said that would not be too good for me!!! Abby is getting more excited about the boys. I think once we get a nursery set up and buy some things she will be real excited. We are getting her ready for Kindergarten and registered!!! I can't believe it, our baby is going to start Kindergarten this fall. So much going on. One more week of school with students!!!! On a happy note all of my Biology students passed their Gateway (state test)!!!!! It was definitely a miracle. I'm wrapping up this semester, which has definitely worn me out being pregnant and dealing with high schoolers. They are pretty cute though, the boys and girls keep patting my belly and commenting on how huge I am getting. How sweet!!!! Well, graduation is tomorrow which will be sad for me since I know a lot of seniors and am pretty close to several of them. This is what teaching is all about!!!!! Make sure to look at the new pics of my belly and Abby. She is always hugging and kissing the babies and taking care of me. She is my little mama. We're over half way there!!!!!

22 weeks!

20 Weeks!!!!

I am wrapping up 20 weeks. Technically a little over half way there. The boys have been extremely active and wrestling I think. Abby got to feel them for the first time a couple of days ago, and she gave me a great big hug, hugged and kissed the babies too!!! It was really sweet. She likes to give them hugs and kisses and talks to them. My mom and brother also felt them that evening. I have been feeling pretty well, but really tired this week. I went on my field trip to Carson Newman this past Thursday to see cadavers and tour the campus. Luckily, I had 3 other chaperones with me, another teacher, a guidance intern, and an assistant principal. I just pulled up a stool and got to sit and watch and not have to walk the campus or be in the room with the cadavers the entire time. It was wonderful, although I missed looking at everything.
I am getting real anxious for my next appointment which will be May 13th. I hope the boys are growing OK. I don't remember being this anxious with Abby. I guess since there are 2 it is harder to figure out what is going on in there. School is almost over, and I can't wait. Ben is taking his final tests today and he will be done with this semester!!! Then we can focus on our house and getting it ready for the boys. We have a lot to do in a little time. I am going shopping for Abby's school supplies today and get her ready for Kindergarten since I don't know how I will feel later this summer. So much going on, but it is real exciting!!!!!
Oh by the way- the name poll was not serious in case you were wondering!!!
